News from Edie via her Mom

She loves to read your wonderful messages of encouragement. Keep them coming!! She wishes she could post on the blog for you and will do that as soon as she is able.

The latest new: Her pain is at a minimal level. She continues to spike fevers but Tylenol is helping. The good news this morning is that they gave her a liquid diet as she was not permitted food or water for at least four days. She could rub her lips with a sponge. There are still hurdles to climb but Edie approaches them with here strong trust and faith in the Lord.
She does have a new blackberry but they could not retrieve any of her past information. She needs your phone numbers once again. The good news is her computer was fixed and she did not lose any information.
God Bless,
Edie's Mom

Glad to get an update! Rest up and get well! Can't wait to see you and talk with you! You and your family are constantly in our prayers -- (Wow it is hard to type with a 10 month old tearing apart the computer desk!)

WE LOVE YOU!

I am praying for you and your family!!!! I miss you at planet!!!Thank you for all your help and support! And thanks for the music you play, it really calls out to me. God has a way of working in our lives, it may not be easy but it is his plan

Here are some verses:

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
(2 Corinthians 4:18)

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18)

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7)

Love you oodles and doodles and lots of tons

Hi Edie,

This is Tina Williams, from Commerce Online. I hope you remember me... :)I spoke to the Bonsals on the 19th and was shocked to hear what was going on with you. Nothing had been said at work to anybody in COL but now as news trickles down, I felt that I needed to circulate a card through our department. So many people are wishing you well and are filling the isles with prayers for you. Kathy Seriego brought in a beautiful pot of flowers which I am holding on to until you are able to receive them, Gavith, Kelsey, Rich Neuman, Barbara Romano, just name a few wanted me to personally tell you that you are in their thoughts and prayers. I would love to come by to visit you and maybe make you laugh a little :) Please let me know if you are still up to visitors. You are in my prayers every day, keep the faith, as I know you will. God has a plan :)

Thank you for the update, Edie's mom. We have never met but I am Jim's aunt Patty in California and we are all so distressed about Edie's illness. Believe me, we are all praying for Edie, Jim, and the girls. Please tell her that.

A beautiful card that was shared with me during a difficult, physical time by Ed & Debbie Jurimas reads:"You are going through trials and difficulties not because God has abandoned you,but because He has chosen you and called you to know His heart." I am praying for those 'green pastures of remission and increased faith' to come soon.

Glad to hear how you are doing. We are praying for you and know this is all part of God's plan for your life. He is already using you in miraculous ways to speak to people's hearts and encourage them in their own walk with God!

You are truly a shining example to many Edie!

Oh Edie~
I think of you constantly and miss you so much!! Praise God we can rest in the fact that He holds you in His incredible arms of strength. And even though you are loved by multitudes, He loves you even more!! How wonderful to see how you have touched the lives of so many: women in your small groups, middle school students, musicians, retreat attenders, mini church families, co-workers, friends, family, etc... etc... God is using you mightily. Thank you for your incredible testimony and example. Praying you will be free of pain and feeling better soon!! Lots of love and hugs, Robin

Hey Edie!!
I really miss seeing your at Planet! Andrew and Critter are gone this week and Ryan and I had to run it. It went pretty smoothly but just being there isn't the same without you! We have all been praying for you! Keep being strong the Lord is with you. He never gives us more than we can handle. Bible Study starts tomorrow and I was really looking forward to leading it with you. Lisa Heisler is going to lead it with me but you will definitely be missed! I love you!!

Edie-
I just wanted you to know we are praying for you and your family. It was great to see you a couple years ago (it's been 2 I think) at Ed Laremore's installation service at our church in Delaware. What a small world we live in. I am praying that as hard as this may get you will continually look to Jesus for your strength.
2 Corinthians 12:9 But He said to me "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
What an awesome God we serve. I am so grateful that He is in control and has you in His hand.
I am thankful you have started this blog. It helps to know how to more specifically pray for you and your family.
Love you,
Kim (Baxter) Smith
